Variability and leadership in pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing

In pharmaceutical secondary production, we combine modular technology, flexible processes and structured team leadership to align production structures precisely with varying requirements. We understand variability as a plannable variable within a stable, quality-assured overall system.

Our site in Traiskirchen near Vienna was designed from the outset to enable efficient format changes and short changeover times. Different batch sizes — from clinical trial materials to commercial production volumes — can thereby be processed reliably, economically and in accordance with clearly defined process standards. Transparent workflows and standardised structures ensure reproducibility and regulatory conformity.

Technology, expertise and modern leadership
Technological performance develops its full potential in combination with qualified employees and clear responsibilities. We therefore invest systematically in training and development in parallel with technical expansion, as well as in a leadership culture that promotes orientation, decisiveness and interdisciplinary collaboration.

By 2028, more than 60 specialists will be working at the site. They contribute to the continuous further development of processes, the consistent implementation of quality standards and the long-term assurance of operational stability. For us, leadership means creating the conditions in which competence, accountability and efficiency can grow in equal measure.

A contribution to supply security, site strengthening and sustainable leadership
Through the combination of modular systems, structured processes and clear leadership, production structures emerge that can respond flexibly to varying needs. This supports reliable supply and strengthens the position of Austria as a pharmaceutical production location within Europe.

Conclusion
Modern secondary manufacturing requires more than technological precision. Only the combination of variable production structures, qualified teams and responsible leadership creates sustainable stability. In this way, variability becomes a strategic strength and leadership becomes a central success factor for quality, efficiency and supply security in Europe.
